Winemaker at chavignol

A very large part of the French vineyards has recently undergone two important frost episodes, from April 20th to 22nd, and from April 27th to 29th. Unfortunately the Sancerrois did not escape, affected mainly by the first cold wave. For the second wave, a large majority of winemakers Chavignol gathered to try to fight against this scourge. About 200 straw bales had been positioned, and we met up on April 28 at 4:30 in the morning to burn them, and to create a cloud of protective smoke over the vines.
