I.
Sancerre White
Made from Sauvignon Blanc, the only grape used for all the whites of Sancerre. This is a dry, fruity wine, full of freshness and vivacity. It is best drunk young.
Serve chilled, at a temperature between 8° and 12°C, it is a perfect aperitif.
It is perfect with oysters, shellfish and fish in sauce.
It will also go particularly well with foie gras, which is quite original. Amateurs will delight in pairing it with a grilled andouillette.
And evidently, it will be great with goat’s cheese, in particular the famous Crottin de Chavignol of course!

II.
Sancerre Rosé
This wine too comes from only one grape : Pinot Noir, which is the same grape that make the Sancerre red.
The rosé wine is obtained after directly pressing the red grapes, and it is then vinified like the Sancerre white. Less well known than its illustrious comrade, it is also a dry wine. Like the white it is young-drinking, and will seduce you with its light and fruity character.
Serve chilled, at a temperature between 8° and 12°C, it is a perfect aperitif.
It will go with white meats, as well as cold cuts, and especially rillettes and cured ham.
A convivial wine par excellence, it is a great partner for food with friends. For example with a good pizza, or a raclette. Also it works well with barbecues, grills or also with tuna and grilled sardines…
